Born and raised in Kyoto, Chef Asuka has an ingrained fondness for matcha and hojicha, which is fully embodied in her creations as a pastry chef. After the launch of the popular Matcha Osmanthus Lava Tart, Chef Asuka introduces Hojicha Roll Cake as an ongoing addition! Made with premium hojicha, Japanese eggs and local flour from Kowloon Flour Mills, the roll cake is not only spongy and fluffy, but also rich in tea aromas. Wrapped around with hojicha infused cream filling in the centre, it brings a seamlessly smooth texture and an extra layer of bittersweet tea flavours.
